1. General Terms

Welcome to Philippines Cuisine Tours. These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our culinary tourism services. By booking any food tour or cooking class, you agree to these Terms.

  • These Terms apply to all food tours, cooking classes, and related services
  • We reserve the right to update these Terms with reasonable notice

2. Booking & Payment

Booking Process:

  • All bookings must be confirmed with a deposit or full payment
  • Booking confirmation will be sent via email within 2 hours
  • Group bookings (6+ people) require advance coordination

Payment Terms:

  • We accept cash, credit cards, and online payments
  • Prices are in Philippine Pesos (PHP) unless otherwise stated
  • Payment confirmation is required before tour participation
  • Group bookings may require 50% deposit with balance due before tour

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Customer Cancellations:

  • 24+ hours before tour: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
  • 12-24 hours before tour: 50% refund
  • Less than 12 hours: No refund unless emergency circumstances
  • No-show: No refund

Our Cancellations:

  • Tours may be cancelled due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances
  • Full refund or rescheduling options will be provided
  • We are not liable for travel expenses if tours are cancelled

4. Food Safety & Dietary Requirements

Health & Safety:

  • All partner restaurants and cooking venues follow food safety standards
  • We cannot guarantee against food allergies or dietary restrictions
  • Participants with severe allergies should inform us in advance
  • Street food tours involve inherent risks that participants assume

Dietary Accommodations:

  • We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free requests when possible
  • Special dietary needs must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance
  • Some traditional dishes may not have suitable alternatives

5. Participant Responsibilities

Tour participants agree to:

  • Arrive at designated meeting points on time
  • Follow guide instructions and safety protocols
  • Inform us of any food allergies or medical conditions
  • Respect local customs and establishments
  • Not consume excessive alcohol during tours
  • Take responsibility for personal belongings

6. Age Requirements

  • Children under 12: Must be accompanied by an adult
  • Teens 13-17: Require parental consent
  • Cooking classes: Minimum age 8 years with adult supervision
  • Street food tours: Recommended for ages 10+ due to spice levels and exotic foods

7. Photography & Media

During tours and classes:

  • We may take photos and videos for marketing purposes
  • Participants consent to use of their likeness in promotional materials
  • Please inform guides if you prefer not to be photographed
  • Participants are welcome to take photos for personal use

8. Liability & Insurance

Limitation of Liability:

  • Participation in food tours involves inherent risks
  • We maintain public liability insurance for covered activities
  • Participants assume risk for food allergies, illness, or personal injury
  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the tour or class

Travel Insurance:

We strongly recommend participants have travel insurance covering:

  • Medical expenses and food-related illness
  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Personal accident coverage

9. Weather & Circumstances

  • Tours operate rain or shine unless dangerous conditions exist
  • Indoor cooking classes are not affected by weather
  • Market tours may be modified during severe weather
  • We may substitute venues if establishments are unexpectedly closed

10. Group Bookings

Special terms for groups of 6 or more participants:

  • Advanced booking required (minimum 48 hours)
  • Custom itineraries available upon request
  • Group discounts may apply for 8+ participants
  • One designated contact person required for communication

11. Code of Conduct

We reserve the right to remove participants who:

  • Are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
  • Behave inappropriately or disrespectfully
  • Ignore safety instructions or guide directions
  • Disturb other participants or local establishments

No refunds will be provided for removals due to misconduct.

12. Intellectual Property

  • All recipes, tour content, and materials are proprietary
  • Participants may use recipes for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Commercial use of our content requires written permission
  • Our brand name and logos are protected trademarks

13. Complaints & Disputes

For any issues or complaints:

  • Please contact us immediately during the tour when possible
  • Written complaints should be submitted within 7 days
  • We will investigate and respond within 14 days
  • Disputes will be resolved under Philippine law
